Richard Burrett, Earth Capital

Richard Burrett is the Chief Sustainability Officer at Earth Capital, an early-stage growth investment manager, which invests across UK and Europe in clean technology solutions. Also a board director at the firm, Burrett has more than 40 years of experience in international banking. During his 20-year tenure at ABN Amro, Burrett held several key positions, including Head of UK Structured Finance and Corporate Banking, and Global Head of Project Finance. As the bank’s Global Head of Sustainability, he chaired its Sustainability Council and developed its strategy on climate change and the carbon markets. Burrett has also served as Chair of the UNEP Finance Initiative, a Steering Committee member of the Renewable Energy Networks for the 21st Century and an external board member of Forest Trends. He is also a fellow at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
