A new service for Aegon Master Trust’s clients will ensure that pension schemes are each assigned a dedicated and experienced trustee to provide tailored governance-focused support and guidance. Through Trustee Connect, nominated trustees will be matched to schemes according to their existing experience, skills and priorities, with the trustee tasked with helping schemes navigate governance. This includes attending governance committee meetings either in person or virtually, while sharing best practice, plans and developments for the Aegon Master Trust. “The launch of Trustee Connect represents exactly what the Aegon Master Trust service is here to provide – practical, valuable support,” said Nick Roy, Director of Client and Partnership Development at Aegon. In addition, Trustee Connect will enable employers to join the Aegon trustee board meetings, allowing trustees to gather and act upon employers’ feedback. “We know how difficult it can be for an employer to manage all the different aspects of running a master trust scheme,” said Ian Pittaway, Chair of the Aegon Master Trust board. “But they also know their members well and want the best outcomes for them.
