Impact investing verification platform BlueMark has named Sarah Gefland as its new President. Gefland first joined BlueMark in 2021 as Managing Director. Earlier in her career, she was a founding director at the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN), where she led the development of impact measurement and management system IRIS+. In addition, Gefland has previously held senior roles at both Fidelity Charitable and Duke University. “I’m thrilled to take on this increased leadership at BlueMark, and to help drive the next phase of the firm’s growth,” she said. “I believe BlueMark’s rigorous and comprehensive verification services can play a critical role in addressing the need for greater transparency and trust in the growing and global sustainable and impact investing markets.” Since BlueMark was founded in January 2020, it has completed over 160 verifications for investors, managing a combined US$230 billion in assets under management categorised as impact investments.
