BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has unveiled its Global Net Zero Transition Equity fund. The Luxembourg-domiciled equity vehicle aims to provide investors with a diversified exposure across sectors, regions and market cap, while prioritising decarbonisation and sustainable investment opportunities. Net zero alignment and prioritisation of a just transition are the fund’s primary objectives, as BNPP AM targets an implied temperature rise below 2°C over time. Classified as Article 8 under the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation, the fund is targeting at least 50% in holdings that can be considered sustainable. “The greening of the economy provides the potential to create jobs and build new industries,” said Jane Ambachtsheer, Global Head of Sustainability at BNPP AM. “A just transition should be fair and inclusive and create decent work opportunities. It’s an important part of how investors should assess and engage with companies during this period of transition.”
