French asset manager Carmignac has appointed Imane Kabbaj as Head of Sustainable Investment Specialists, effective 11 March. Kabbaj joined from her role as Responsible Investment Director at Man Group, where she stayed for over a year – following a stint at PineBridge Investment as Sustainable Investing Specialist. In her new position, Kabbaj will be responsible for ensuring that Carmignac delivers on growing client demand for ESG practices and sustainable investment, while adhering to evolving regulatory requirements. This will entail engaging with prospective and existing clients on the firm’s ESG proposition, advising on sustainable investment policies, and providing internal as well as external education. Kabbaj will report to Lloyd McAllister, who was appointed Head of Sustainable Investment at the firm in January 2023. “I am thrilled to join Carmignac, where I will have the opportunity to reinforce the expertise of the ESG team,” she said. “I look forward to engaging with clients and prospects, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and driving the excellency of the firm’s ESG solution.” Founded in 1989 by Edouard Carmignac and Eric Helderlé, the firm has more than €30 billion in assets under management.
