At the COP27 summit in Sharm El Sheikh, 57 global companies collectively representing US$900 billion in annual revenue have signed the Action Declaration on Climate Policy Engagement. Coordinated by US-based sustainability media and research organisation Corporate Knights, the pledge commits signatories to supporting Paris-aligned climate policy when engaging with policymakers, working with trade associations to advance Paris-alignment, and disclosing the extent to which their lobbying activities are already aligned. Signatories, including IKEA and Orsted, have until the end of 2023 to disclose in line with these three commitments.
