Sustainability intelligence platform HowGood has further developed its carbon accounting solution to streamline ESG reporting and carbon reduction for the food industry. The firm’s platform is used by six of the ten largest food corporations in the world, and will now offer corporate footprint insights across Scopes 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions reporting. HowGood’s carbon accounting platform is linked to a database accounting for 90,000 agricultural emission factors, and allows food firms to set an accurate and auditable emissions baseline. As part of its announcement, HowGood said that data on Scopes 1 and 2 would now be free for all platform users. “Historically, corporate carbon accounting has not benefited from the immense granularity and accuracy that product-level carbon footprinting brings to the table,” said Nina DePalma, Head of Product at HowGood. “We are so pleased to now offer our customers a solution that bridges this gap. It is truly what is needed to move the needle on impact reduction”.
