Asset manager Invesco has appointed Molly Betournay as its new Director of ESG Research. She has almost two decades of industry experience, and in her new role will be responsible for leading a team of seven ESG research analysts in supporting Invesco’s investment teams. Betourney joins from US-based investment advisory firm Clean Yield Asset Management where she was Director of Social Research and Advocacy. In this role, she led the company’s ESG research and analysis of public equities, oversaw its proxy voting programme, and designed and implemented long-term shareholder engagement strategies across a range of ESG issues. Betourney was also previously Director of ESG and Impact Investing at Pathstone, Head of US Research at global ESG research provider Vigeo EIRIS, and Lead Sustainability Analyst at Impax Asset Management.
