Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM) has appointed Mona Shah as Senior Sustainability Strategist. Shah joined from Stonehage Fleming, where she was head of sustainable investments since 2018, following a stint at Rathbones Investment Management. In her role at LOIM, which she will start on next month, Shah will report to Michael Urban, Chief Sustainability Strategist at holistiQ – LOIM’s dedicated sustainable investment platform, launched last year. Shah will also sit on the investment committee for the endowment at Jesus College, Oxford University, where she will advise on reaching net zero with college assets by 2030. Shah is also on the stewardship council for investorsACT.com – a framework aiming to shift the investment management sector towards more inclusive behaviours and cultures. “I am delighted to join LOIM, having admired them for a long time,” she said. “[The firm’s] willingness to break norms whilst remaining rooted in realism and to create the highest level of thought leadership for clients and the planet, is unparalleled. I am excited to contribute to LOIM’s long-term commitment to sustainable investment and to help [it] achieve further success.”
