Sustainable infrastructure investor and asset manager NTR has appointed Donal Tierney as Chairperson. Drawing on his experience in the renewable energy industry and international leadership skills, Tierney will be responsible for overseeing NTR’s strategies business direction. “We warmly welcome Donal back to NTR, this time in the capacity of chairperson,” said Rosheen McGuckian, NTR’s CEO. “His longstanding understanding of our business and strategy will bring valuable expertise to our board as we continue on our mission of developing, constructing, and operating sustainable infrastructure.” Tierney was a director at NTR between 2000 and 2014 and also holds chair positions at companies Bimeda, Green Biofuels Ireland and Sterimol. NTR has developed, constructed and operated almost 3 gigawatts of wind, solar and energy storage projects to date, deploying €1.6 billion (US$1.7 billion) in capital.
