The UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) has recommended Conor Kehoe as the next Chair of the organisation, starting in 2024. The official proposal for Kehoe’s appointment will be made at the PRI’s upcoming Signatory General Meeting in September. His final confirmation will depend on a simple majority vote from PRI signatories, including asset owners. Kehoe will succeed Martin Skancke, whose term will conclude at the end of 2023. Kehoe spent 28 years at consultancy firm McKinsey, where he co-founded the investor and private equity practice. His expertise in responsible investment includes his role as chair of the Integrated Reporting Council and as a member of the G7 Impact Taskforce on Impact Accounting. Commenting on the Chair nomination process, Sharon Hendricks, Vice-Chair of the CalSTRS Board and Chair of the Search Committee, said: “Our view is that Conor has the ability and experience to lead a high-performing Board, to provide ideas and thought leadership, to challenge and support the Executive (particularly as we go through the PRI’s next strategy cycle) and to be a strong ambassador for the PRI across the globe.”
